Astrological Insights for 3 October 2009

Today is the Full Moon. But it’s not just any Full Moon; rather it’s the Harvest Moon, the lunar event where the Moon appears larger and more radiant than at other times. The Harvest Moon gets its name because it provided illumination for farmers who were able to work later into the day collecting their crops, guided by the lunar incandescence. Even if we are not working in the fields, we can use the Moon’s luminosity symbolically, focusing a spotlight upon our relationship (since this year’s Harvest Moon features a Libra Sun and Aries Moon). Ideally, by reflecting upon this field of our lives, we may shed light on any imbalances that exist and more clearly see ways to rectify them.
