If you mean "negative" in terms of inferior, no sign is "negative." All have their strengths and their challenges, including Taurus. One way of defining signs, though, is by polarity, where the terms "positive" and "negative" are used. Yet, these terms are not used from a judgement (e.g., superior vs inferior) perspective; rather "positive" reflects a more yang or masculine energy, while "negative" reflects a more yin or feminine energy. Within this categorizations system, all the earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), are considered "negative." No planets are currently in Taurus. Yet, that doesn't mean that if you have planets in Taurus that you are not being influenced by planetary energies. For example, both Jupiter and Neptune are currently in late Aquarius (24-25 degrees). If you have planets in Taurus (or in Leo, or Scorpio, or Aquarius) in similar degrees, then you will be feeling the influence of Jupiter and Neptune.
