Mercury moves into Capricorn today. Usually, the planet of communication resides in a sign for about three weeks, but given its upcoming retrograde period (December 26 – January 15), it will plod through the sign of the Mountain Goat for over two months.
With Mercury in Capricorn, ideas come forth slowly and deliberately. Efficiency of communication, and an oft somber tone, are en vogue while frivolity is not. If you’re inclined to thoughts conveyed in a spritely or energetic manner, this time could be frustrating as it may seem as if people are speaking and/or processing knowledge at the speed of flowing molasses. Yet, there’s a purposefulness in careful consideration as it can be a means to build ideas and share notions that have lasting value and significance.
