Weekly Astrological Insights: March 15-21, 2010

Monday, March 15

Pisces, the last sign, reflects the end, where all that came before comes together. It is the alpha and omega, where unity exists.

Today, we experience and bear witness to the Pisces New Moon. A time of new beginnings, New Moons reflect the advent of a renewed cycle for growth. In the sign of the Fish, this New Moon can inspire our inspiration to embark on a soulful life journey, one imbued with the Piscean notion of the All-in-One.

Tuesday, March 16

The energy of today may seem a bit racy. If you’ve been lulled into the pacific waves of the past few days, a sense of irritation or unsettling may then ensue. Yet, if you greet the day knowing that the pace may be quicker, it may be easier to connect into the powerful sparkplug of initiative that we all have more access to today. If you use this energy as a constructive catalyst, it can allow you to tap into a deeper sense of truth and beauty.

Wednesday, March 17

Today, Mercury goes into Aries, where it will remain until April 2. When the planet of communication resides in the fiery sign of self-initiation, we are propelled to use words in a more assertive way. Our minds may speed up, processing thoughts at a quicker clip. While this can help us gain the gusto to move through mental challenges, we should be aware of a tendency towards rash judgments and potentially combative discussions over the coming weeks. Yet, today, with this energized Mercury harmoniously aspecting make-it-happen Mars, we can align our thoughts and actions so that our words support our ability to go after what we desire.

Thursday, March 18

Feeling a mental block? Not able to readily connect in with your thoughts and the words/images you need to access to express them? If so, consider trying another tact. Instead of giving up, throwing up your hands in defeat, put on your cerebral armor and forge ahead trying on the following strategy: see whether any limitations you feel may actually be beneficial in helping you to express your visions in a more refined and structured way.

Friday, March 19

Since it’s the last day this year of the Sun residing in Pisces, why not dive into its waves, that of the:

  • Ineffable
  • Empyreal
  • Ethereal
  • Transcendent
  • Divine
  • Sublime
  • Unified

Given that the Moon is in grounded Taurus, as we surrender into the compassionately accepting space of Piscean heart-connectedness, we can root these waves of feelings by centering them in our body. For example, dancing, chanting, walking meditation, taking a candlelight aromatic bath, or feeling/making love can be exquisite activities for the day.

Saturday, March 20

Today we experience a grand shift.

We are at the Vernal Equinox, greeting spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

As the seasons change, so does the sign the Sun is in. Today we witness the Sun charging into self-initiating Aries, the first sign, the one that signals a commencement of the zodiacal cycle.

With Aries symbolizing inceptions, when it’s the first day of Aries it feels like the beginning of all beginnings. It’s that moment when all is potential, when everything is possible.

On this day, plant a seed of intention for how you would like your life to flourish and bloom this year. If possible, do a goal-setting manifestation ritual before 12:42pm PDT, so as to take advantage of the powerful grounding energy of the Taurus Moon. Given that Mercury and Pluto are in aspect today, we can enjoy an extra force that allows us to hone in on the words we want to use for this exercise, words that more deeply reflect our true needs and authentic being.

Sunday, March 21

No is the word of the day.

Listen for the No’s in different places. They can come from situations that don’t manifest or other people who aren’t on the same page. Potentially, they may even arise from that deep space within us, the space that we may not like to listen to, but which we know knows best.

Today, with the Sun opposite Saturn, the No’s can be our friend. Because they can help us realize which avenues to leave behind and therefore how to better forge our present and future. Inherently within every No is the potential for a much more thoughtful Yes to manifest.
