Today, we get help speaking our truth.
While our feelings may come from deep within, the planetary alignment of Mercury and Pluto can help us to access the words to express them in a simple, succinct, and practical fashion.

How’s your will, chutzpah, go-get-‘em-ness?
Too little, too much, or just right?
Reflections and experiences today may allow us to gain more insights into this area of our life. As we inventory our ability to assert our self we may find clues as to how we may better affirm our ability to express our true essence.

Today we can more readily see things from a larger perspective. Our ally in doing so is dialogue and discussion, talking things over with other people.
In this process it’s important to watch for any tension that may arise if we feel that people’s actions are in seeming contradiction with what we perceive our needs to be. As a stress remedy, try this two-part strategy: Step back a little and don’t take others’ actions as a personal offenses while at the same time giving them recognition that they may be acting in the way that they personally need to express themselves.

There’s an element of seduction that’s strong today. We may try to try to disown it or keep it at arm’s length but that may only make it roar more loudly. Instead, try focusing on what you may feel seduced by or to whom you may feel you are expressing your seductive ways. See if you can get more clear as to what the connection is that exists and whether there is a way to honestly and integrally channel your desires.

Each lunar cycle, the Moon conjoins Chiron. In astrology, this asteroid holds the archetype of the wounded healer. It represents the personal battle scars that we carry which we can use as a source of compassion and understanding in our relationships with others.
This month* is the first time in 41 years that the Moon/Chiron conjunction takes place in the sign of Pisces since the wounded healer just entered this sign on April 20. This stellar combination may cause us to feel our or another’s hurts more deeply and yet it may also allow us to experience a more unbridled sense of empathy, towards our self and others.
An exercise that seems to be helpful on waves-of-emotions days such as today is to practice Namaste by looking in the eyes of another, truly acknowledging their deep essence, and appreciating the connection that exists between all human (and other) beings.
* The next two dates of the Pisces Moon/Chiron conjunctions are June 3 and June 30. Then from July 21 it re-enters Aquarius and will not return to Pisces until February 9, 2011. Granted each and every lunar cycle there is a Moon/Chiron conjunction, but the ones from July through the end of this year occur in Aquarius, which means the energetics have a different flavor than the one we experience today and in June.

We may not have to look very hard today to find meaning. If we are able to relax, and even for a moment suspend the goings-on of our mind to find a space of tranquility, then nirvana can be found while practicing even the most practical of tasks.
Sunday, May 9
Today, we may feel torn between the past and the future. Trying something new may seem interesting but also scary. And at the same time, we may perceive maintaining the status quo as carrying a level of comfort; yet the thought of it also makes us feel agitated and moody.
So what to do?
If you feel the need for change, see if there’s a way to do so in a practical and thoughtful manner. Your allies today in finding insights and solutions are none other than your generous imagination and expansive intuitive senses. (Yes, you have them. We all do.)
P.S. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. And Happy Mother’s Day to the grand ol’ dame of moms, Gaia, Planet Earth.

It never occurred to me to check where Chiron and the moon might sync up strongly each month. Thanks for this! As a Virgo Sun, my chart’s Chiron is in Aries / my fifth house and I have been exploring it for the past few weeks because I feel that sometimes Chiron has a lot of impact on being a Virgo. Thank you again for this!
Hi, Fiona. It was actually just this month that the idea came to me. I think because of Chiron’s ingress into Pisces. As Pisces could be so illusive, I thought that tracking Chiron’s Moon connections may be a good way to connect in with the energy. Yet, now my awareness is towards it in general…aka the cycles as the Wounded Healer goes back into Aquarius this summer. I find Chiron so rich. Eric Francis has great insights into this planet on his work that features on the web. And, of course, Melanie Reinhart’s work is amazing. I agree with you about the Chiron/Virgo connection. All the best, Stephanie
