Astrological Insights for 18 September 2012 [R/Evolution]

R/evolution.

We’re experiencing it personally and collectively.

And as we come to the second of the seven Uranus/Pluto squares, we may again see this shapeshifting-from-the-core energetic taking up an even greater level of our attention.

The first exact square was on June 24. This one occurs in the last minutes of today on the West Coast of the U.S. and September 19 most everywhere else. Instead of waiting for tomorrow’s post to write about it, given its gravity, it seemed to call for it to be given center stage in both today and tomorrow’s Daily Insights entries.

Think back to the end of June to see what may have gotten sparked for you, reflecting upon it in context of what may be arising now. Even if the threads are not implicitly clear, hold onto the perspective that how they may weave together may become evidenced.

While Uranus/Pluto begs for the new, I do want to share what I wrote in the entry on June since just recreating the wheel for recreating the wheel’s sake sometimes isn’t productive (this itself is a perspective I think important to consider over the next few years when r/evolutionary energy peaks–do we want to just overthrow the apple cart for overthrowing its sake or do we have a sense of what we want to construct in its place?).

But first I want to note one of the poignant differences I see between then and now (besides, of course, that two-plus months have occurred that have evolved experiences, emotions, shifts, and movements). In June, the Uranus/Pluto square occurred near the times of the Venus and Saturn stations and so we may have felt an unleashing of energy in terms of our relationships as well as the efficient building of structures in our lives.

This square occurs during the same week as both the Pluto station on a day when the Moon is in Scorpio, which has Pluto as its modern-day ruler. As such, it seems like the delving, probing, strip-things-to-the-core, feel deeply, and unleash-the-hidden may be felt even more on the surface. Additionally, messenger Mercury ties into the Uranus/Pluto square on Thursday, which may have us being more able to communicate the powerful and intense that seem incredibly challenging to communicate.

So, here is what I wrote about the Uranus/Pluto square, which I’ve only modified to give it context that we are experiencing the second exact alignment now, rather than the first we did on June 24.

” We’re in the midst of great metamorphosis, both personally and collectively. Astrologically, we can look to the square alignment of revolutionary Uranus and evolutionary Pluto between 2012 and 2015 as a bellweather for the shapeshifting we are encountering. As these two planets dance in this relationship during these three years, transformation will be de rigueur. Similar to the mid-1960s when these two planets united, this period will be filled with evolution and revolution, with people fighting for what they deem important, essential, and just.

On June 24, we officially ushered in this generation-shifting awakening movement as we experience the first of the seven** exact square alignments between Uranus and Pluto. [The second occurs on September 18/19, 2012.]

While the Uranus/Pluto square will color the world stage, it will also show up in our own personal lives. For example, you may already be seeing the unsustainability of certain habits, patterns, relationships, or ways of being, in that they are getting in the way of your true happiness and self-expression. You may be experiencing the tolls of stress and limitation, which you desire to overcome. With this awareness you may be seeking to embark on a quest for finding the courage to let go of what holds you back so that you can pursue a path of greater joy and authenticity.

I’m calling this our personal R/Evolution Journey.

And the more I witness people around me, and the more I meditate upon what these planetary energies represent, the more it seems that if we are going to endure in a way that celebrates life and expresses love and grace, personal R/Evolution may be essential.

And so today, to honor our collective entry into this transformational time, consider whereR/Evolution can play a role in your life. For example, reflect upon where you can be more honest, what areas are calling for change so that you can live a life with greater sustainability, how you can re-birth a sense of personal empowerment, and/or what shifts you can design so that you more truly express the beautiful individual you are while also opening up to a sense of greater connectedness with those around you.

These are some big questions, of course, and ones whose answers may not be apparent right now. And that is as it should be and all perfect. My intention in posing them is not to imply they can be necessarily clearly answered right now, but more to set a stage so that you can have a personal framework for this collective odyssey we are entering, and choose to mark this day with a ritual of reflection if you so choose.
