Looking for ways to take care of your well-being? Try an approach different than you have been. After all, Hygeia, the asteroid representing wellness, moves into avant-garde Aquarius today. This shift can encourage us to be more open to pursuing new pathways to health, which may provide greater rewards.

As Aquarius is related to alternative and bioenergetic medicine, it fits the bill that acupuncture, acutonics, homeopathy, flower essences, and reiki–which all work with subtle energies–can play an important role in healing.

Don’t worry if you don’t make changes in your healthcare approach right away. Hygeia will be in Aquarius through May 13 so you’ve got some time to begin trying something new. Then again, there’s no time like the present.

It’s a day to manage two facets of ourselves that may seem at odds: a strong pull to attend to a relationship and the desire to focus more attention on our own personal needs. Consider how both can be honored. How is it that you can at once experience the riches that a partnership or friendship yields while at the same time giving yourself enough freedom and space to express yourself in ways that feel liberated and authentic? Although it may not at first seem obvious, there’s a way to find this balance.

Feeling a bit of ennui in a relationship? If so, the issue possibly may not be the relationship.

Everything could seem fine on the surface. Yet, it could be that there is something unexplored within, something that you haven’t yet discovered about what you really need and value in a partnership. You could think that it’s X, Y and Z that turns you on because it “always has” and yet even though the triad is being satisfied, you are not.

Today, consider this: Maybe your relationship needs that are not being met are not the ones you’ve identified, named and claimed, but the ones that you have yet to. Maybe what’s causing a sense of irritation, a desire to break free, isn’t the other person but rather the stifling feeling that may be occurring because you’ve yet to give voice to needs that you may have perceived as being off-beat and atypical (when compared to the “status quo” that is).

Take the opportunity to have a really/truly honest conversation with yourself to really/truly identify what you really/truly value in a partner, friend, colleague, and/or client. You may be surprised what you discover. And feel thrilled by the sense of authentic self liberation that ensues.

If I had to capture the feeling of the day in a phrase it would be: turning point.

After all, we’ve got many profound alignments on the menu today: the Leo Full Moon, Sun/Mercury conjunction, Saturn retrograde, and Venus transitioning from the end of Pisces to the beginning of Aries. Not only may it seem that something is coming to fruition, but that there’s a sense of urging, or potentially an urgency, to stand clearly for what’s being created.

There’s a shift in our attention today. We may find ourselves focused on something we haven’t been in a while. What’s that? Our selves. If you’ve felt that you’ve been very other-directed, you may find yourself beaming with the need to radiate yourself, express what you’re feeling, let others know more about how you want to participate and contribute.

The day may be a bit tricky, in a round-peg/square-hole sort of way. The challenge (and reward) is to find a way to be yourself while still feeling in sync with those around you.

It’s definitely a day where jags and bumps can raise arise. Frustrations, notably related to being related (or not), may arise given Saturn is currently stationing. Mercury’s uniting with the Sun (exact tomorrow), and our thoughts are really loud. And yet as we are on the verge of the Leo New Moon and Venus in the last degrees of Pisces, so are our feelings.

It’s a good day to be fully present and yet take things slowly.

Today is the last full day of Neptune’s passage through Aquarius, for a long very time (aka for our lifetime-plus).

Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998. Since that time we have seen a collective shift resulting from how technology (Aquarius) can break down boundaries (Neptune) to hyper-connect (Neptune) people from all across the globe (Aquarius) and to forward social awareness/movements (Aquarius).

Tomorrow, a sea change begins as Neptune enters Pisces where it will reside for about 14 years. The transition could be readily apparent or may it may be more diffuse (the latter a signature of both the planet and the sign). Yet, regardless, the tides are shifting and over time we will see new influences and archetypes coloring the zeitgeist for this mini-era in time.
