Stellar Insights for October 11 - 17, 2021

As the week begins just after Saturn has completed its current retrograde cycle, we may find the subjects of time, bones, work, authority, and rules capturing our attention. Have you found yourself having to exert your authority or been in the company of others who have? Are you experiencing the necessity of putting in a little bit more elbow grease than usual, so that you could get a job done in a manner that met your standards? Has it seemed that things are taking longer than usual? Has aging been on your mind in a manner that it isn’t usually? These may be some of the ways that we may experience the Saturn station.

As the weekend is in sight, we may find ourselves riveted by subject matters that stir deep feelings. Power and control may be themes and the action of surrendering, of leaving something behind, may appear to be the pathway to feeling lighter and making space for a deep new level of creativity that we feel is about to emerge.

Given Mercury completes its retrograde cycle on Monday, October 18, this weekend may also feel peppered with information, a desire for greater understanding, and an urge to have conversations that may begin to clarify things we’ve been reviewing over the past several weeks. Yet, Mercury is not the only planet that completes its retrograde dance that day – Jupiter does as well. And with that we may find ourselves connecting to a desire for growth or noticing how things around us seem a bit more enhanced, expanded, or even exaggerated.

Combining the Mercury and Jupiter stations, we may feel loaded with a desire to discover important pieces of information and yet we also need to watch for the potential of information overload. There’s a great promise that we can expand our viewpoints as well as our sense of optimism, and yet we need to watch out for overpromises that can’t deliver. While these themes may weave through the weekend, they likely continue also the first days of next week.
