Stellar Insights: November 7 - 13, 2022

There are times in life when we can’t see clearly. Viewing things from our go-to, well-worn stance, as we search high and low for clarity, the same-old, same-old perspectives and conclusions continue roll around in our head and heart. We hear the same stories, see the same path forwards, envision the same conclusions—no matter how deeply we know there must be another vantage prism through which to grasp and approach a certain realm of our life.

That is, until out of seemingly nowhere, we experience a breakthrough Aha! moment and it finally seems like we know where to discover a modicum of clarity. As we see the puzzle pieces differently—even if just subtly distinct—we can see how they fit together in a way that we couldn’t before perceive. As this occurs, we are often showered not only by the shock that we have landed on a solution but that it was like it was hiding in plain sight all along. And with a “blinding flash of the obvious”—a phrase I heard last week in a lecture by Jonine Gabay during an online training in family systemic constellations—everything changes, almost without a moment’s notice. From this place, we can then orient differently, with a new lens that has us able to see a new landscape. And even if we’re uncertain at the moment how it is that we specifically need to and want to recreate the portions of our lives in which we gained that flash of awareness, we begin to feel that we have the adaptability and flexibility to do so in a way that allows us to live with more alignment, authenticity, and freedom.

The potential for this breakthrough feels very present at the moment, thanks to the presence of the shake-it-up planet Uranus. Not only is it intertwined with love planet Venus and messenger Mercury but it plays an integral role in Tuesday’s Lunar Eclipse. For this lunation, Uranus joins the feeling-oriented Moon in earthy Taurus as it forms a Full Moon Eclipse, standing opposite the Sun in deep-dive Scorpio.

And with this, the breakthroughs we receive may arise via breakdowns of old habits and perspectives that have to do with our sense of security, whether physical, financial, emotional, or other. We may see how the ways we have oriented have arisen from fear: of intimacy, of vulnerability, or even of our own creative power. And yet we may now realize that these patterns have very practical outcomes, those that we now longer want shrouding our passion, vitality, and spark.

Now that’s not to say that the new awareness that breaks through is easy to digest, absorb, or implement—or even that we have the full picture yet as to where it will lead us (it is an eclipse, after all). Or even that we should make quick decisions based upon an experienced influx of information and insight. Time here can be our ally.

I feel like our awareness of the value of time—that it is an essential ingredient in any recipe—is supported at the moment given that Saturn is also part of this Eclipse picture. That’s because this is the planet associated with the lord of time. It is also the one known for not only giving us encouragement to face reality but that reminds us that paving pathways require a brick-by-brick approach and that significant payoffs can manifest if we do the work and follow aligned design principles.

All said, be gentle with yourself and others this week. With revolutionary, upend-the-norms, electric Uranus a star of the celestial show, anxiety may be a collective go-to as we face unknowns of large proportion. Remember to be open to the “blinding flash of the obvious” but give yourself the time and space to integrate and embrace it in your mind, heart, and soul.

All my best,

Stephanie

PS. Here’s a map to view to see if the Lunar Eclipse will be visible where you live. Here in the Pacific Northwest it should be visible (barring our infamous cloud cover). The times for it are as follows:

  • 12:02 am PST: Moon encounters Earth’s outer shadow

  • 1:09 am PST: Partial eclipse begins

  • 2:17 am–3:42 am PST: Moon enters totality phase

  • 2:59 am PST: Maximum totality

  • 5:56 am PST: Ends

PPS: If you live in the U.S., PLEASE VOTE! It’s our right and our responsibility, and the foundation of democracy, which is on the ballot this year, as it has not been before.
