I’m curious how your last week was. What felt surprising? What out-of-the-blue realizations infused your mind and your heart? What events or reactions to events occurred that you didn’t necessarily have on your proverbial bingo card?

I ask this given that this past weekend was the exact Jupiter/Uranus Conjunction, an alignment that only happens once every thirteen-ish years. And while it may have been exact on Saturday, we felt it fluttering in beforehand and will still feel its invitations for weeks moving forward (although likely in a less brazen and intense way).

While I often use the phrase Stay Bouncy! during Uranian times, I also woke up with these lyrics in my head from the song Hold On Loosely by 38 Special. Perhaps not the whole song, but at least this refrain that encourages us to be a bit detached and have a loose grip on things, also seem like a good anthem/mantra for this Jupiter/Uranus period.

Just hold on loosely

But don't let go

If you cling too tightly

You're gonna lose control

And yet it may be a bit challenging early in the week to “hold on loosely” since on Tuesday we have the Scorpio Full Moon, a lunation that inspires tenacity and intensity. That’s because Taurus (where the Sun is) is known for its stubborn qualities while Scorpio (where the Moon is) is associated with the urge to cling tightly to what it desires to possess. One of the ways to blend these two seemingly conflicting urges may to keep an open mind when it comes to the things to which we feel committed. Instead of just dedicating ourselves to what we believe is our tried and true, we can hold a beginners-mind stance to see if, in fact, certain things and/or people actually catalyze our desires or we just think they do out of habit and routine.

The interplay between Taurus and Scorpio helps us to forge an awareness that what we see—what has form—is reliant upon that which is unseen but deeply felt. And given that both signs have an affiliation with sexuality—Taurus from the perspective of enjoying the sensual and Scorpio because of its appreciation of transformative experiences—we’re looking at days that may be infused with passion, pleasure, and erotic inclinations.

All this is occurring against the backdrop of the completion of Mercury Retrograde. The planet of communication ends its proverbial backwards motion on Thursday. And with that we may find ourselves being exposed to a blitz of information and/or coterie of people who want to converse with us. Try to pace yourself so as to not get hijacked by a feeling of unnecessary urgency, which could have you acting with impatience, leading to undue stress. A few days after Mercury shifts direct, you may find yourself with greater clarity to move forward with ideas that have been percolating over the last several weeks.

While next Monday (April 29) is the Mars/Neptune Conjunction, we should be in the shower of its invitations as this weekend approaches. It’s an alignment that inspires us to find a sense of spaciousness that can help us move with a greater feeling of flow and ease. It offers us the opportunity to tap into the vast knowing field of connected consciousness to access awareness about what motivates and inspires us and to see how compassion calls us into action.

That said, Mars/Neptune moments can leave us tired and depleted if we don’t watch our boundaries, those we have with other people and the environment around us. It may also have us experiencing a tete-a-tete with any self-saboteur energy that resides in our hearts and minds; so make sure to make the effort to be your own champion rather than your own adversary. Shower yourself with a stream of empathy and then see how that shifts your relationship with your desires.

Wishing you a stellar week!
