No matter how old I get, I always celebrate my half-birthday.
Some of my friends and family think it’s silly. On some level, I can’t blame them. After all, most people–after a certain age–would much rather forget their age(ing) than draw attention to it.
But I, on the other hand, like to celebrate life whenever I can. Plus, why ignore the fact–that I am getting older–when it’s an I-can’t-escape-it reality. After all, as my father would say when considering aging: “You may not like it, but it certainly is the better alternative.”
So why do I share this with you? Well, it seems reflective of the energy of the day, with Venus spending her first full day in celebratory Leo (where she’ll stay until October 20), the Sun in reality- and detail-loving Virgo, and the Moon in joie-de-vivre Sagittarius.
Plus, today is my half-birthday.
