With the Moon in Capricorn most of the day, as we wind down to the Aquarius New Moon, we have opportunities to consider these questions and commit to releasing that which doesn’t serve us. This way we invest in a clearer canvas upon which we can plant seeds for a new cycle of growth in the arenas of altruism, collective participation, and problem-solving whose aim is to enhance our communities.

Deep feelings emerge early in the day. They may be ones you had awareness of but just kept at bay. Alternatively, if you’ve been avoiding certain feelings, they may arise from the caverns of your heart with great force, potentially taking you by surprise.

It’s a day where being productive and attending to things that may have lasting value feels good. If you feel the urge to do something differently than usual, allow the space for creative self-expression.

Try to be really clear where the goal is you are aiming for. There’s the potential for a sense of overinflation in terms of what we are capable of. Just make sure you’re setting your sights high, but still within reach.

Remember that when we come up against restrictions, it’s not necessarily negative. Sometimes when we brush up against proverbial closed doors or signals of limitations, it doesn’t have to spell ill consequences nor a blocking of one’s life’s trajectory. In fact, these experiences can be boundary shaping, allowing us to more efficiently use our resources to craft a well-lived life. Instead of taking “No”s as a signal of defeat instead take it as a signal of another direction from where to seek a “Yes.” A “No:can be boons to help us “Know” and forge a path that will allow us to best invest our resources so that we can gain further wisdom, fulfillment and joy.

What inspires this notion today? Nothing other than the efficient Capricorn Moon squaring structure-giving Saturn.

With the Moon in Saturn-ruled signs today (Capricorn for the first part, Aquarius for the latter part), I am reminded of a fitting quote by Ray Kroc:

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Today be persistent and determined.

And let your intuitive mind help you to figure out ways to best do so. After all, with Mercury square Neptune, an intention to rally our imagination and poetic brilliance can yield great rewards. That’s important since if we don’t approach the day’s communications with resolve, our minds may float and mental energies feel dissipated…with the day then characterized by anything but persistence and determination.

Happy Halloween!

With Venus squaring Neptune, it’s a great day for imaginative artistry, which may be quite beneficial in creating an inspired Halloween costume. With Neptune encouraging boundarilessness and Venus related to all that’s sweet, it may seem even easier than usual to easily [over]indulge in Halloween candy

Also today, be careful about being too idealistic in love. See if you can see the other for who they are, rather than getting caught up in who they may possibly be one day. It’s great to give people the benefit of the doubt but being in the land of “what’s possible” can be done while holding ground along the shores of “what’s probable.” If not you may find yourself disappointed and/or discouraged.

Today can be a great day of accomplishments. As long as we’re realistic about the time and effort required to make something happen, and we approach situations responsibly, we can move mountains.

While it’s important to keep our eye on the prize (aka our goal), it’s a good strategy to build in allowance for flexibility into our plans so that if something unexpected occurs it won’t throw us (too much) for a loop. Deep feelings may be catalyzed later in the day. They may shift our sense of center, yet lead us to a more authentic sense of self.

It’s a day of endurance, of going the extra mile. Things of import come into consciousness. Yet the achievement of them may take time, dedication, and patience.

With the Capricorn Moon tying into the Uranus/Pluto square, we personally feel the rumblings that evolve from change and transformation. Or, if we’re not letting go in order to evolve, then we may feel tension and discord.

We often think of security as freedom, and yet there are times when in fact not only are they not one in the same, but the false sense of security actually holds us back from true liberation. Events and reflections may arise today related to this theme. It’s a wonderful area for personal investigation that will allow us to evidence how we can freely and securely flourish.

The Capricorn Moon goes “void” later in the day so if you want to start a new project, consider doing so earlier than later. With the Moon making a harmonious trine to Venus what we sense we need to feel comforted feels aligned with what we are naturally drawn to. Later, the Moon opposes Mars and things may feel a funky if our needs don’t feel in sync with our desires. See if you can sensitively honor your feelings while also valuing your need to be responsible and attend to your obligations.

Also, we are under the inspirational haze of the opposition of Mercury and Neptune, which is exact on Thursday at 8:27 am. This may show up in different ways. Communications may feel more poetic and intuitive. We can connect to the illustrative spheres of imagination and infused creativity. Yet, Mercury/Neptune can also yield much confusion in communication as well as overexaggerated promises that are rife with idealistic motivations but lacking in realistic grounding. Be open to compassionate connection while also staying grounded in your thoughts and expressions.
